Alexandre de Brébisson


PhD student at the MILA lab supervised by Pascal Vincent and Yoshua Bengio. Research has been awarded with Druide, Bombardier and Winton prizes. Publications at NIPS, ICLR and CVPR. Winner of the Taxi Kaggle competition.

Kundan Kumar


PhD student at MILA, advised by Yoshua Bengio and Aaron Courville. B.Tech-M.Tech dual degree in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur. Expertise in speech synthesis with publications at ICLR and ICASSP.

Jose Sotelo


PhD (and former MSc) student at the MILA lab. Supervised by Yoshua Bengio and Aaron Courville. Expertise in speech synthesis with publications at ICLR.

David previously worked as a Management Consultant for McKinsey & Company and as Global Director for one of the largest e-commerce in LatAm. Also, he is practically invincible at Mario Kart.

Research linguist and data collection manager


A Linguistics graduate of the University of Edinburgh, Francesca has more than 5 years of experience working on speech synthesis. At Lyrebird, she leads our data collection efforts.

Senior Researcher


Thibault is a Senior Researcher at Lyrebird with extensive experience in academia and industry. He holds a PhD in particle physics, developed embedded tracking and monitoring algorithms for the automotive industry and is now leading efforts to improve the naturalness of synthetic speech.

Lead software architect


Senior software engineer, Nicolas previously worked at Desjardins and Ubisoft where he scaled real-time systems to infinity.

Piotr graduated in Computer Science from University of Warsaw. Before joining Lyrebird, Piotr worked on various machine learning projects at Google.

Senior full-stack engineer


Thomas enjoys working on hard problems at all levels of the software stack. Previously, he has worked at NPR and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Thomas is currently studying at Centrale Paris and passionate about IT and developing since age 10. Thomas wrote the very first Java MP3 decoding library to decode and play back mp3 files as well as the first Java library to send Skype messages programatically.

About to graduate from Centrale Lyon, Lucas is a true deep learning enthusiast. He has extensive experience in building neural networks, from handwriting generation to speech recognition, not forgetting representation learning.
